Юдензау

Ю́дензау, также Еврейская свинья (нем. Judensau, еврейская свиноматка)[1][2][3] — народное искусство[4] в изображении евреев в оскорбительном контакте с большой свиноматкой, которая считается в иудаизме нечистым животным. В качестве архитектурного декоративного элемента появилась в Германии в XIII веке[1], а также в других европейских странах; популярность этого декоративного элемента в архитектуре длилась более 600 лет.[5] В нацистской Германии целые классы немецких школьников отправлялись на экскурсии, чтобы смотреть «юдензау» на церквях и соборах[6]. На сегодняшний день термин остался в разговорной речи, как нео-нацистское оскорбление.[1]

История и изображения

Евреи (которых можно узнать по еврейской шапке) присосались к свинье и питаются её экскрементами. Текстовый комментарий к гравюре содержит уничижительное стихотворение, высмеивающее евреев.

Запрет евреям питаться свининой происходит из Торы, Книга Левит, глава 11, стих 2, строка 8.[7][8] Расположение евреев, сосущих вымя и совокупляющихся с животным (иногда символизирующим дьявола[4]), является уничижением иудаизма и примером антисемитской пропаганды.[9]
